The attic windows are not picky in operation, they are practical and reliable. However, they show these qualities only if they were correctly established. Moreover, the installation process will depend on which roofing was selected in one case or another. To facilitate the installation process, the sash must be removed from the frame. To do this, you need to open the attic window 120 degrees, then press on a special button located on the frame. Then the frame is placed in the roof in a pre -prepared place and attached to the crate (this can be done using mounting corners that will be located at the angles of the frame). If we are talking about a large attic window, then there may be more corners – most often six, and they will be located not only in the corners, but also on the side sides. In order to set the window correctly and prevent leaks, you need to combine the line that is applied to the side surface of the window frame, with the upper edge of the roof crate. Further, using wooden wedges and levels, you need to horizontally set the lower edge of the window. In this case, the lower corners of the frame should be attached to the rafters. After that, you can install the sash in the window box. A sealed connection of the attic window with a roof of soft tiles is achieved due to the seals that are located in the upper part of the salary and on the sides. The seals must also be installed under an apron designed to remove water from a salary to a roof. The condition of the seals must be controlled, if necessary, change. For bitumen tiles, flat window salaries are usually used. If ceramic tiles or metal tiles were selected as a roofing, then salaries should have a specific structure. When the installation work is completed, the sash of the attic window is installed in place. After that, it will be possible to install slopes that are usually supplied with a set with a window. Be sure to check the quality of the installation – the rubber gasket that frames the sash, in the closed state of the windows should be tight enough and evenly around the entire perimeter to the frame. Otherwise, gaps may occur that will become a bridge of the cold.
