Polyurethane foam is nothing more than non -melting thermoreactive plastic, which has a pronounced cellular structure. Hard material takes only 3 % of its volume. He forms a frame from walls and ribs.
It is such a crystalline structure that makes the material itself mechanically durable. The remaining 97 % of the volume falls on the pores and cavities, which are filled with gas fluor chlormethane. It has low thermal conductivity.
If we talk about polyurethane systems, then they represent liquid mixtures that are ready for processing. They are supplied, as a rule, in the form of two- or even multicomponent systems. Are applied either by spraying, or by filling. In some cases, even by hand.
It is worth noting that the technology of spraying began to be used recently, unlike the filling method. This technology allows you to sprinkle material on any, even the most complex surfaces, creating a certain insulation circuit. In this case, the surface on which it is planned to apply the spraying should be dry and clean.
Metal surfaces must be cleaned of dirt, dust and rust. If there are fat pollution, then they need to be degreased with a solvent or gasoline.
The foam is applied by a special compressor installation equipped with a jet gun. Such an installation as a foam generator allows you to mix and dose two components. The change of components makes it possible to get polyurethane foam with a very wide range of properties. This allows you to successfully carry out all the work on insulation, hydro- and vapor barrier of the premises, both from the internal and external sides.
The service life of such polyurethane foam coatings reaches 25 years or more. Despite the fact that the coating is durable and strength, it must be protected from the effects of atmospheric moisture and UV radiation.
As such protective coatings are suitable: facade perchlorvinyl paint or silicon enamel. Such material is able to form, including multilayer structures with a wide variety of facing materials. Often it is used as a heater for “sandwich panels”.
