Before building the foundation, it is necessary to perform the exact marking of the future base. It is recommended to use special equipment, but you can do with pegs with laces. Given the significance of the structure and its safety requirements, theodolite will be the best measuring tool.
In accordance with the marking, a trench is laid along the perimeter of the future building. Depending on the volume of work and the availability of opportunities, you can use special equipment or dig manually. The bottom of the dug trench is covered with sand and gravel, which are tightly compacted. The thickness of the layers should be about 200 mm.
The backfill layer is poured with cement mortar. A break is taken for several days so that the filling completely hardens. The reinforcement is laid out on top of the concrete base, if necessary, a layer of reinforcement is protected by a waterproofing layer. The stacked rods of the reinforcement are tied with wire.
To prevent concrete spreading, formwork of boards, metal, plywood or slate is installed. The concrete brand is selected according to the climatic conditions of the region, for moderate conditions there are enough M200, in cold latitudes – M400. After pouring concrete, the formwork is removed after 3 days. The full strength of concrete is gained in 2 weeks.
